Speed gun used in the north

Drivers in the northern districts have been under the gun recently, the speed gun that is. The police and transport departments joined forces over the weekend for a special operation that resulted in forty-four drivers receiving court summons for speeding, fifty-four tickets were given out for poor vehicle maintenance, insurance violations, and overcrowding, while thirty people were given warnings for various minor offences. One driver was also detailed while attempting to evade a checkpoint and was charged with drunk driving. But don’t think the effort is limited to the north, similar sweeps will be carried out countrywide, so make sure your vehicle is in good shape, your license and insurance up to date, and keep within the speed limit.
