Meet Gimme Five’s Grand Prize Winner!

This year, Channel Five celebrates its twenty-fifth anniversary and to start the Christmas season right, we gifted twenty-five of viewers with tons of prizes in the annual Gimme Five Extravaganza. From December fifth and to the ninth, we brought you mega performances from your favourite artists; Duane Moody even took to the streets for four days of exciting challenges at Bottom Dolla, Cellular World, Gadgets and Eighty-Eight Shopping Center. But it was on Friday that the biggest prizes were won. The grand prize included a one thousand dollar drone from Cellular World and a roundtrip ticket to the U.S. from United Airlines. Belize City resident, Andres Grajales collected the prize today.

“Well to be…I’ll say I put enough to win.”

“Have you played it before? Did you tune in every night?”

“Yes, I played previous years.”

“And is this the first time you are winning?”

Andres Grajales

“Yes, it is the first time I am winning; I could have won two years ago, but the phone number that we used was not the correct phone number.”

“You got a phone, a drone, groceries and all of that including a ticket from United Airlines. How is that going to split because I know your wife is here with you and she is saying that she is supposed to get too?”

Andres Grajales

“The United Airlines ticket comes in handy because I need to travel about next month. I need to use it and tend to some business. The drone, I am still not too sure what I am going to do about it—let my children have it or do something about it.  And the phone; that’s gonna be for me.”

“So what does the wife get?”

“She gets all the groceries. And maybe she might even get the phone card.”
