Two arrested for attempted murder
He was on the run for over three weeks, but eighteen-year old Godfrey Hemsley could not elude the long arm of the law. The teenager has been arrested and charged for the attempted murder and use of deadly means of harm against twenty-three year old Clive Arnold Junior on December twenty-eighth. According to police, Arnold was standing on the side of Faber’s Road when he was shot several times by Hemsley.
Similar charges of attempted murder and use of deadly means of harm have also been brought against a twenty-three year old Corozal man. Eusebio Lin, a resident of San Roman Village, is accused of inflicting multiple chop wounds on the body of a sixteen-year-old boy after the two became involved in a misunderstanding on Saturday morning. The victim, who suffered cuts to his forehead, chin and left hand, remains hospitalised in Corozal.
