Mopan River claims life of Santa Elena man
Also on Christmas Day, a young man from the Cayo District lost his life, this time by drowning. According to friends, twenty-three year old Vincent Price of Santa Elena, along with two other men, jumped into the Mopan River from the hammock bridge near Branch Mouth. Price began to have trouble swimming and apparently went under. Efforts to revive him proved futile.
