Special constable shot by B.D.F. soldier

In the second incident involving law enforcement authorities, a police special constable is clinging to life tonight at the K.H.M.H. after he was shot by a fellow member of the security forces. Police report that shortly after noon on Christmas Day special constable Bill Arana was shot in the right leg and chest following an argument with B.D.F. soldier Reuben Sho. The two men were allegedly arguing over some money at the police substation on Dean Street in Belize City when the twenty year old Sho, a resident of Blue Creek, Toledo, picked up his M-16 rifle and squeezed off two rounds at Arana. Sho has been charged with attempted murder, use of deadly means of harm, dangerous harm, and discharging a firearm in public.
