Superintendent Itza faces more charges
Additional charges have been filed against a senior police official. Superintendent Ewart Itza now has two counts each of false imprisonment and threat of death, along with one count each of aggravated assault, and using insulting and indecent words added to the list of charges against him. In September, Itza was arrested and charged with wounding and harm following two separate reports filed by residents in Dangriga. The victims, identified as Lincoln Cardinez and Timothy Cano, both allege that at different times on August twenty-fourth Itza attacked them. Before he was place on interdiction, Itza was in charge of the Southern Formation.
