Elections Dept. continues voter education
The next election in Belize is not due for at least another couple of years. But that does not mean that the Election and Boundaries Department has gone into hibernation. In an effort to continue its voter education and community outreach campaigns, the department today opened what they call a library corner in Belize City. The display, housed on the ground floor of the Leo Bradley Library, features booklets, reports, newsletters, and other materials produced by the Election and Boundaries Department. The first display opened two years ago in Corozal and since then the Department has hosted similar exhibitions in Orange Walk, San Joaquin and Dangriga. Also launched today was a booklet entitled: A Framework for Voter Education.
