Three charged with O.W. murder

He was murdered in September of 2002 and now, over a year later, the people accused of killing Claudio Cardinez have been charged with the crime. Twenty-year-old Enrique Cruz, thirty-three year old Javier Ramirez, and fifty-four year old Theodora Ramirez have been charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Cardinez’s common law wife told police that her husband was assaulted at his home in Orange Walk by a man driving a black four-door car. The man then shot Cardinez at point-blank range. Cardinez was to have been a key prosecution witness in the Baron Bliss Day burglary of the Belize Bank in San Ignacio in March 2000.
