Radisson donates to N.C.F.C.

The National Committee for Families and Children today received a welcome donation from the Radisson Fort George Hotel. The money, totalling a little over fourteen hundred dollars, represents the proceeds of a September fund raising drive. This evening the Radisson’s Maria Otero handed over the cheque to N.C.F.C. Director Judith Alpuche.

“It was a percentage of the total revenue from the Stone Grill Restaurant. It’s a part of the commitment that we have done to the Belize society on behalf of the fifty year anniversary of the Radisson.”

“We have a children’s programme that’s co-sponsored by Love FM, the Kid-O-Rama Show. And although Love FM airs that show for free, there are still other expenses attached. And specifically we like to do training of our children to improve their skills, and by extension improving the radio programme. So that’s what we’ll be doing. We will be planning with our children, training sessions during the year and we’ll utilize the money from Radisson to do that.”<

For Christmas the Radisson’s anniversary contribution will be donations to Mercy Care in Belize City and the Octavia Waight Centre in San Ignacio.
