Farmers warned of flash floods
And concerning a less controversial warning of disaster, the Agriculture Department is asking farmers and residents of the lower Sibun and Belize River Valleys to be on the lookout tonight for flash floods. Extremely heavy rains have been reported in areas upstream which could cause one or both rivers to overflow the banks over the next three to nine hours and harm cattle and low lying buildings.
