“The Christian Life” on Channel 5

Story Picture
You may have missed the launch last week Thursday, but tonight Channel 5 viewers have the opportunity to tune in to “The Christian Life”. The show is produced by a group of energetic followers of Christ. Today, two of the programme’s coordinators stopped by our studios to talk about the show and give highlights from tonight’s segment.

Marva Gillett, Coordinator, The Christian Life

“Through dance, drama, street talk, real talk with discussions, and we are inviting the body of Christ to just come forward and just have open forums about what is affecting the Christians and what is going on in the Christian community because we don’t hear much that here in Belize right now.”

Kayla Grant, Youth Coordinator, Millennium Movement

“Tonight our topic is gonna be on Halloween because as everybody knows, Halloween’s tomorrow. So we just wanted to give a Christian perspective of what Halloween is. We’re not saying that everybody has to take this perspective and do what we say, but we want to give them our views of Halloween. So basically tonight at eight-thirty we are going to be having a discussion on Halloween with a few friends of mine. We’re going to be having a little skit and just wanted everybody to see what we think.”

Marva Gillett

“Most of us here in Belize, we grow up knowing about God from the time we were born, but we only call upon him when we need him for something, we don’t really have a relationship with him. And so he wants us to show who he is, show people what a fun God he is, what an awesome father he is, and how much he wants us to come close to him.”

“The Christian Life” runs for thirty minutes and airs every Thursday night at eight-thirty, right here on Channel 5.
