Stabbing reported in Caye Caulker

A minor was stabbed in Caye Caulker over the weekend. Police report that the seventeen-year-old boy Ryan Saldivar was wounded in the shoulder on Sunday sometime after seven. Investigations revealed that around six that same evening, the Belize City teen was socializing at a bar when he got into a fight with twenty-two-year-old Charles Robinson of San Pedro who stabbed him. Police attempted to detain Robinson, but he boarded a boat and police attempted to prevent his escape and avoid a collision with the boat; as a result they fired a single shot that caused damage to the engine of the boat which is valued at thirty thousand dollars. Police are investigating.
