Stabbing victim asks for justice

By all accounts it was a pretty fierce beating, and after spending three days in the hospital, the victim is talking to the press. Jennifer Phill today told News 5’s Jacqueline Woods that she didn’t deserve what she got.

“I need justice, I need real justice for this because I noh fass (interfere) with nobody. You know from the time I am in this country, I show people love, I help, I no fass with nobody.”

Forty-six year old Jennifer Phill was sitting at this bus stop on Mahogany Street after six on Thursday evening when she claims a mother, daughter, granddaughter, and their family friend attacked and stabbed her seven times in the head.

“When I run, the mother fired a stab and I get it into my head and I drop. And after I drop, they start beat me and start to stab me. I get more stab in mi head because I try to block not to get the stab nowhere else, so it’s only mi head they get and in my back.”

Phill says after the women attacked her they dragged her a good distance along the sidewalk until someone alerted the police, who quickly came to her rescue. Phill, who lost a lot blood, was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.

“The doctor said the injury is very dangerous because one of the arteries burst and they had to open the cut bigger so they could get to the artery, so I need a lot ah rest. And I need to thank the doctors and the nurses that help me and save my life.”

Phill admits that she had a misunderstanding with one of the women who she says falsely accused her of having an affair with the young lady’s man.

“They come with the intention, because they tell me they come fi kill me, because I am an alien and they noh wah get no charge for me.”

The police did arrest one Archangel Mejia and have charged the forty-nine year old woman with grievous harm. Jacqueline Woods for News 5.
