Safiyyah finds the tricks and treats for the Halloween weekend
Hey I’m Safiyyah and this is What’s Happening Belize for the Halloween weekend.
This Friday night down south in Malibu Beach club there will be a birthday bash for DJ Buju B and Rudaz.
On Saturday as you all know there will be plenty to do, so pay attention. In the morning in Belize City you can check out round two of Courts Dance Off competition. This will be taking place in the Courts Parking lot at ten a.m. They will be giving away plenty of great prizes including cash so check it out.
In Belmopan the Rotoract Xlub will be having a Halloween party for all the little kiddies. This will be happening inside the Belmopan Civic Center from five p.m. to eight p.m. The cost to enter is three dollars and that will include a goodie bag and entrance to the haunted house.
On Saturday night in Corozal there will be the grand re-opening of Club Cactus. For this big party they will be having DJ Busch as well as DJ Ben. The first twenty-five people to enter get a free drink and a free CD. There will be prizes for best costumes.
In Black Man Eddy Community Center there will be the selection of Miss St Martin De Porres at seven-thirty p.m. Four Lovely Ladies will be vying for the title and a dance will follow.
Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic High School will be having a black and white ball inside the Chon Saan Palace in Belmopan. This will begin at seven p.m.
In Benque Viejo there will be a Rock concert featuring a Guatemalan Rock Band. We spoke to one of the promoters and she had this to say…

“This Halloween Rock Bash, we’re bringing in an internationally known band, Biento en Contra, which is a famous rock band in Central America and they just came touring from the United States and they have played along with bands like Mana. On this night we’re gonna have DJ Richie, DJ Super Mario, DJ Bass, Sonido Magico, which is a mobile disco; one of the best and also Legacy Rock Band from Orange Walk.”
That concert will be running from seven p.m. until four a.m. You can dress however you’d like. There will be a little bit of everything so check it out.
In the Storks Club in San Ignacio there will be a fabulous costume party featuring the D Generation Band. There will be plenty of prizes and surprises.
And here in the City there are plenty of spooky activities for you to do on Saturday as well. If you’re in the mood to get down in the ultimate costume party then you should check out the Monster Bash happening at the Riverside Tavern. There will be a fully equipped dance floor as well as prizes for best couple’s costume, most creative, scariest and many others. The party will begin at nine p.m.
The Princess Poolside will be the spot for Bobby Chin’s Birthday Bash. This Big Bash will feature Bugle’s first performance in Belize as well as Belize’s very own Tanya Carter.
Another spot for Saturday night is Flavaz. They will be having a Halloween Old Skool Halloween Bash. This will be running from six p.m. until three a.m. You must be eighteen years or older to enter.
Well there are plenty of activities to do this weekend so go out and have fun. Don’t forget the Circus is in town in the Yard of the Civic Center so head out with the kiddies and show them a good time, Bye!
