Accused robber, murderer formally charged

Story Picture
This afternoon twenty year old Marvin Nunez and forty-nine year old Osbourne Carr were escorted to Magistrate’s Court in Belize City where they were both charged for separate crimes. Nunez, who wasted no time hiding his face from the media, is believed to be one of the two men who fired shots inside the St. John Credit Union last Friday during a botched robbery. During the shootout the lending institution’s two security guards were wounded and are now recuperating at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. Nunez has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of use of deadly means of harm, grievous harm committed upon Lloyd Casimiro, dangerous harm committed upon Levy Brown and damage to property. Meanwhile, Carr has been charged with the murder of Sandra Moss. Moss’s partially decomposed body was found on Tuesday morning lying naked across a bed inside Carr’s one room flat. It is believed she was dead since Monday evening. Both Carr and Nunez have been remanded to Hattieville Prison.
