Policeman arrested for assault on Ex
A police officer has been arrested for beating up his ex-girlfriend. Twenty-eight year old Wilhelm Young was charged with aggravated assault and harm following a complaint by thirty-year-old Janice Jacobs of Louise Bevans Street in Belize City. Jacobs told police that on Sunday evening around six she was awakened by the presence of Young, her ex-common law husband, standing next to her bed. When Jacobs asked him to leave, Young allegedly punched her and choked her. He then put a single bullet in his police issue thirty-eight revolver, pointed it at Jacobs and pulled the trigger. The chamber turned out to be empty, but that did not stop Young from beating her with the gun on her face. A police press release says that Young will be prosecuted like any other accused criminal.
