P.M. addresses law grads in Jamaica

As a parent, it’s always a proud day when you attend a graduation…whether it’s primary, secondary, junior college or even law school. For Prime Minister Said Musa, it must have been a double pleasure as he was asked to be the guest speaker at the graduation exercises of the class of 2003 at the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica. We weren’t present, but at least one rousing round of applause must have come from the P.M.’s son, Kareem Musa, who was among five Belizeans graduating. The other four are Kevin Arthurs, Liesje Denyse Barrow, Michael Peyrefitte and Iran Alice Tillett. Young Musa received the Belize Bar Association prize as the most outstanding Belizean student over the two-year course of study, while Liesje receive the Pitts and Elrington outstanding final year Belizean student award. Belizean first year student, Ashanti Arthurs, was named the law school’s outstanding student in the class of 2004.
