3, Including Minor, Charged in Brutal Trio Brawl

Twenty-two-year-old Santiago Garcia was chopped to death during a vicious machete attack in Trio Village on Saturday night.  The laborer was along with two others who were also seriously injured during the brawl.  Tonight, a trio from the southern community, including a sixteen-year-old minor, remains in police custody after being arrested and charged for the crime of murder.  Twenty-three-year-old Sabanito Cal and twenty-year-old Arnoldo Xol were charged along with the minor who was indicted in the presence of his father.  Another man, twenty-four-year-old Leonardo Ba, remains hospitalized under police guard at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital and it is expected that he will also be charged for his role in the deadly incident.  As we reported, Garcia, along with Ba and Arturo Choc, was walking on an unknown street in the village when they came under attack by the machete-wielding men.
