Reports of a Raid at Orange Walk House of Barton Middleton
On Wednesday, Orange Walk businessman Barton Middleton flatly told the senators in the Immigration inquiry that he had nothing more to say in regard to questions of his alleged involvement in under-handed immigration deals with the eight missing visa foils taken from the Western Border Station in 2012. Middleton appeared before the Senate prior to the Easter Holidays and his testimony was described as ‘ninety-nine percent incredible,’ by Senator Eamon Courtenay. He was warned that his testimony and those of others at the Senate Inquiry would be forwarded, if necessary, to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for consideration as to criminal charges. But might Police already be taking a closer look at Middleton? News Five has received credible reports from multiple places that his house in the San Lorenzo Housing Site was raided by Police this morning after eight. Neither Orange Walk nor Belize City authorities would confirm but a stamp was purportedly found with a fictitious name claiming to be a Justice of the Peace. As we have said, police are tight-lipped, but the reports persist.
