Brother Hurt Sister in Dispute Over Rent Money
A family dispute between siblings and their mother ended up in court today with the arraignment of Rayford Saldano for wounding his sister Joleen Saldano. She reportedly put him out of their mother’s house while he demanded the return of one hundred and eighty dollars in rent and utility money he had paid to his mother. Rayford wasted no time and pleaded guilty to the wounding of Joleen on May fifth, 2017, when she was stabbed with a screwdriver to the left side of her head. He told Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith that he got into an argument with his sister after he arrived at their house to find that his clothes had been thrown out. Rayford further told the court that before the altercation he asked his mother back for the money he had given her since he needed the cash to stay somewhere else. He further claimed that he was attacked by other siblings. His sentencing was deferred for Tuesday after his sister presents her version of events.
