Wife Spares Husband Over Threatening Words Charge

A Turkish national employed with the Princess Hotel and Casino was today arraigned on a single charge of using threatening words against his common-law wife, a Guyanese cosmetologist. She reported to police that her husband threatened to shoot her over the weekend. Ozcan Aydogdu appeared before Magistrate Carlon Mendoza for threatening his wife, Sady Aydogdu at their house on Gentle Avenue. Ozcan pleaded not guilty, but Sady asked to speak saying that she did not expect the matter to get this far and stated that she did not wish to proceed with the matter. Since she wanted no court action against her husband, the charge was withdrawn and Ozcan was freed.
