Accused’s sister speaks out in K.H.M.H. theft case
On Wednesday, Tricia Indira Mak was charged in connection with the theft of money from the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. Today, her sister, Taneemah Rhamdas, spoke out in her defence saying that the only thing her sister is guilty of is not heeding the advice of her parents. According to Rhamdas, the problem started last August after Mak applied for a job as a sales clerk. Rhamdas says the ad was printed in a local newspaper and her sister called the number that was advertised. Not long after, Rhamdas says her sister started working for a foreigner known to them only as Tariq Aziz. She claims her sister had been going through a very difficult time and innocently took the job because she needed the money to raise her child. Rhamdas says the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions should be looking for the mastermind behind the crime.
