Poet releases book of love poems
When we think of the arts, many people focus on the visual or performing arts, but poets are artists too. Rita Sedacy has just released her second volume of poems and this morning she spoke to News 5 about the collection she calls “My Heart to Yours.”
Jacqueline Woods, Reporting
Fifty-seven year old Rita Sedacy says you should never feel afraid to express your feelings to the one you love. But if you need a little help, this romantic poet has compiled forty of her personal favourites to help you the next time you have something special to say, but don’t know how to put in words.
Rita Sedacy, Poet
“I think it’s important to tell somebody how you feel and not be afraid, because they should know how much you care about them.”
Sedacy says although the book should have been released for Valentine’s Day, it’s not late because love should be celebrated everyday of the year.
If you would like a copy of “My Heart to Yours,” it is available at Brodies for twelve dollars and fifty cents, or you can contact Rita Sedacy at telephone number 207-6251.
