“Bang” Charged for Shotgun Bangs Outside Woman’s House

A Security Guard of the Belize International Airport was arraigned today in connection with a shooting incident that occurred through Munoz Alley, Belize City, on Tuesday of this week. Tyrone Young, aka “Bang”, was charged for discharging a firearm in public. It is alleged that he wantonly and without reasonable excuse, discharged a firearm in a public place. Young pleaded not guilty but was denied bail and remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison until July eighth, 2017.  Kayla Young reported to police that just before midnight, she heard the sound of a gunshot and when she looked though her window, she saw “Bang”, with a firearm that he pointed in her direction.  At the time, the accused was with another man, who she identified as Davone Gillett. Kayla also claims that when she checked on her children she heard three more shots. Bang will have to apply to the Supreme Court for bail.
