Child killed by truck in Orange Walk
A child was knocked down and killed in the Orange Walk District on Friday morning. Nine-year-old Juan Carlos Velasquez was standing on Santa Familia Street when a towhead truck driven by Felipe Leiva of Orange Walk hit him. He was rushed to the Northern Regional hospital, but had sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead on arrival.
