Godwin Says Disruption Should Not Be Tolerated

We caught up with the United Democratic Party’s leader of Government Business in the Senate, Godwin Hulse, at another event today. Hulse is also a former chairman of a senate inquiry on the Social Security Board. That inquiry, however, was never interrupted.  Hulse kept his comments about what transpired on May seventeenth limited.  But he expressed the view that the National Assembly’s chambers are sacrosanct, and any disruption therein should and would not be tolerated from either side.  In the case of the Senate Special Select Committee, he said the authority and responsibility to maintain order rests with Chairman Aldo Salazar, acting on behalf of Senate President Lee Mark Chang.

“Any disruption of any proceedings in the National Assembly is unfortunate. There are rules governing that; the Chairman, acting on behalf of the President, has the authority and the responsibility to kick people out who would create any kind of disruption. It doesn’t matter wherever there are; it is not along political lines at all. Disruption is disruption. That’s all I’ll say on that.”
