Body found near Southern Highway

Meanwhile, police in the south are still searching for clues in their investigation into the death of a man who was also chopped to death. The authorities say that on Sunday they were called out to an area outside Trio Village, just off the Southern Highway. There, they found the body of a man with wounds to his arm, face and back of the head. He has since been identified as thirty-three year old Mario Enrique Lopez, a resident of the same village. Lopez’s body has been taken to the morgue at the Belmopan Hospital where it awaits a post mortem. At news time tonight, no arrests had been made in connection with this incident.
