Suspect charged in weekend killing
Police have arrested and charged a Belize City man in connection with the death of his roommate. According to the cops, twenty-three year old Israel Mendez Orellano is the machete man who fatally chopped twenty year old Saul Montejo in the head and back following an altercation at the house they shared with three other people on Lindo’s Alley. The housemates had been playing cards on Saturday night when the fight broke out. Mendez has been charged with murder.
