Police seek help in Cayo murder case
A sixteen-year-old Belize City boy was found dead in Cayo this morning and the police are asking for the public’s assistance in solving the murder. The body of Abel Gonzalez was found on the Pilgrimage Valley Road, just outside of Santa Elena. It had a large cut wound to the back of the head. At the time of his death, police say Gonzalez was wanted on a commitment warrant for an outstanding debt to the Magistrate’s Court. He was also a suspect in a recent robbery. Anyone with information on the death of Abel Gonzalez is asked to call 922.
