Colombians plead guilty, get 3 years
Justice was swift for five Colombians busted last Friday in Ladyville on weapons charges. The group, believed to be part of a major cocaine smuggling operation, have pled guilty to possession of a prohibited firearm, namely an AK47 assault rifle, as well as unlicensed radio equipment and a small amount of marijuana. They each received sentences of three years at Hattieville prison. All charges were withdrawn against the Belizean who owned the house where the Colombians were arrested.
