Palacio signed by NBA’s Raptors
Our favourite NBA player is once again on the move. Milton Palacio, a four-year league veteran and one time leader of Belize’s CARICOM champion national team, has been signed by the Toronto Raptors. The six foot three inch point guard, who has played for the Grizzles, Celtics, Suns and Cavaliers in the NBA, was a free agent who was facing the possibility of heading to a career in the European leagues. But the Raptors, shopping for a reliable low cost point guard to play behind star Vince Carter, looked to Palacio. Low cost, by the way, is a relative term as Milt’s two-year contract is believed to be worth about one point five million U.S. dollars per annum.
