Cayo Resident Hammon Lemoth Dies; Shooting is Now a Murder

Fifty-one days after he was shot on the head in the city, Hammond Lemoth succumbed this morning, just after eleven o’clock. Lemoth was inside a barber shop on Central American Boulevard on the south side of Belize City when a gunman ran into the shop and opened fire at him and a patron. The Ontario Village resident was targeted just two blocks away from his family house on Partridge Street. A motive for the shooting, which has now moved to a murder investigation, is unknown.
