Accident victim still critical
And in an update on Monday’s traffic accident on the Western Highway, which claimed three lives, medical authorities tell News 5 that a fourth victim, forty-four year old Martha Reimer, remains in a critical condition. Staff at Universal Health Services in Belize City say Reimer underwent surgery late this evening. She was one of four people travelling in a minivan from Spanish Lookout to Belize City when near mile twenty-one it collided head on with a bus travelling in the opposite direction. Reimer’s parents, Gerhard and Dora Thiessen, and her seventeen-year-old son Dwayne, all died in the collision.
