Get Saved with Papa San and Company at Festival of Hope

Christian music fans and evangelicals are awaiting the climax of the week-long Festival of Hope on Saturday at B.T.L. Park in Belize City.  After several days of evangelism countrywide, the park will host a free all-day concert featuring the sounds of Papa San, Christafari, Evan Craft and others along with many activities for the young and the old. Papa San touched down in Belize this afternoon and spoke with News Five at the Biltmore Plaza alongside organizer Daniel King.

“It’s all about evangelism. I’ve been here a couple of times, so looking forward to having a wonderful time with the fans, wonderful time with the Body of Christ; seeing that people are set free, being blessed, get saved by the power of God. That’s the main goal for this event, tonight, and just to jell with the family of God and have a wonderful time in Christ. I know that people will be refreshed and touched by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

“What does the Festival – I don’t know if you’ve been keeping in touch with what is happening but what does the Festival of Hope mean to you personally?”

“Hope is in Christ. It is about giving people life, giving people hope, giving people something that is already promised in the Bible for humanity, that Jesus died and that God has raised him from the dead and if you believe in him, trust in him, you shall be saved. So that’s what it’s all about, to bring hope to people. The Bible says we are given a Ministry of reconciliation; to win people back over to Christ.  It’s all about that.”

“The Festival of Hope begins Saturday morning at ten a.m. and continues all throughout the day and until late in the night. It’s free to the whole family, open to everyone and everyone is welcome and we are so delighted to have Papa San here as one of our musical guests. You’ll want to come out and hear the music of Papa San, you will love it. We also have Christafari; we have Evan Craft – he plays Spanish music – and we have lots of other local bands and international bands that are coming together for this event. We have hundreds of churches in Belize that are participating; we expect B.T.L. Park to be packed jam-full of people tomorrow so you’ll want to come early, to make sure you get a good spot so that you can hear Papa San. It’s going to be exciting, it’s going to be free, it’s for the whole family and so don’t miss it – ten a.m., Saturday morning, July twenty-second, from ten in the morning until late in the evening.”

Again, show time is ten o’clock on Saturday morning and entrance is free.
