16-year-old alleges gang rape
In crime news, three Belize City men have been detained in connection with allegations of a gang rape. A sixteen-year-old girl has reported to police that on Wednesday morning while waiting for a bus at the corner of Western Avenue and the Western Highway she was overpowered by two men and taken to a house in the St. Martin’s area. At that location she was forced to have sexual intercourse with one of her abductors as well as a number of other men present in the home. She has told police that the men are known to her only by nicknames.
