Girl found dead in Toledo village
Meanwhile, Punta Gorda police and forensic experts spent the day in Tambran Village today conducting investigations surrounding the death of an eight-year-old girl. According to authorities, eight-year-old Amelia Yatz was reported missing on Friday June sixth by her mother Rosa Yatz. The woman says around noon that day she was getting off a bus in the village and saw her daughter coming towards her to help with the luggage, but within minutes the child had disappeared. On Monday the child’s father found the badly decomposed body of his daughter in the bush just on the outskirts of village. At this time P.G. police do not suspect foul play. It is reported that the young girl suffers from epileptic attacks, which could have possibly contributed to her death. Tambran Village is located off the Southern Highway, approximately thirty miles west of Punta Gorda, in between the villages of Deep River and Golden Stream in the Toledo District.
