Pedestrian dies in Hummingbird Hwy. knockdown
A young woman has lost her life after being hit by a pickup truck on the Hummingbird Highway. Lorena Sandoval, a student of Saint Margaret’s Village, was attempting to cross the highway between miles thirty-three and thirty-four around four Friday evening, when she was hit by a passing pickup. The truck’s driver, Charles Chevillon, reported that Sandoval darted out from behind a parked bus directly into his path. She was taken to Belmopan hospital, but died later that night. Police investigations continue.
