Price of rice goes down

Rice—it’s normally what’s for lunch and there is some good news to report about that staple food. The government has approved an eleven cent average decrease in the pound of rice and a fourteen dollars decrease for the hundred pound sack. In Belize City, Corozal, Orange Walk, Belmopan and San Ignacio, the price has decreased from one dollar and thirty one cents to one dollar and twenty cents per pound. Also in those districts the price of a sack of rice has decreased from one hundred and twenty six dollars to one hundred and twelve dollars. In Punta Gorda, San Pedro and Caye Caulker, the price has decreased from one dollar and thirty two cents to one dollar and twenty two cents, while the price per sack has decreased from one hundred and twenty eight dollars to one hundred and fourteen dollars. And in Dangriga, it went down to one dollar and twenty one cents per pound and one hundred and thirteen dollars per hundred pound sack.
