Slick highway trouble for motorists
Those people driving to the Chalillo site today can testify that the first rains signalling the end of the dry season made the Western Highway even more treacherous than normal. Although we’re not sure exactly what caused this accident near the Colonel English Bridge, the result was certainly dramatic. When we passed the scene around two-thirty, the driver and any occupants had already left the vehicle, presumably to call a tow truck.
