Missing taximan shows up safe in Cancun
The case of missing taximan Rene Alberto Caceres has been solved, as the twenty-one year old has turned up alive and well. Although his parents have still not seen him in over a week, a relieved father, Jorge Caceres, told News 5 that late last night he was able to track down his son all the way in Cancun.

“I call one of my family dah Orange Walk and he told me that he see the car pass last week Saturday with some people. So I decide to gone dah Chetumal to find out see if what happened. So when I get there, one of my friends told me that he do see Rene dah Cancun.”

“Well Rene get two tourists from Fort George and he told me that they ask him how much he charge them to carry them to Cancun. And he always back his passport in his car, so he told them f they could give four hundred U.S., he take them to Cancun. And the two persons they agree, so he decide to gone, but his mistake is noh call me and tell me well like, that he going to Cancun or whatever.”
Caceres says that after dropping off his passengers in Cancun he developed car problems, but saw no reason to call home and inform his parents of his whereabouts. Jorge Caceres says his son should be home sometime this week.
