Woman wounded in city shooting

Tonight twenty-six year old Ingrid Williams of a Trench Alley address in Belize City is recovering from a gunshot wound she sustained to her left hand. Witnesses, who did not wish to appear on camera, told News 5 that around three this afternoon Williams was standing just outside of her house when two young men ran into the alley firing shots at one Leonard Arnold. Police would not confirm the information, telling us only that they are investigating the incident and do have one suspect detained. Williams, who was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, was treated and later released. It is not the first time that Leonard Arnold has been in the news. Two months ago he was talking with a friend on Euphrates Avenue when two men on a bicycle rode up and fired several shots at him, wounding him in the neck.
