2 arrested for Corozal rape
The epidemic of rapes committed nationwide continues unabated. Police in Corozal report that on Monday an eighteen year old woman filed a complaint that on that afternoon she was abducted from a bar by four men, one of whom had originally accompanied her to the drinking establishment. The men allegedly forced her into a pickup truck and drove to a remote location where two of the men forced her to have sex and also robbed her of her jewellery. Police subsequently arrested eighteen-year-old Daniel Ek and nineteen-year-old Wilbert Herrera, both of Ranchito Village. They have been charged with forcible abduction, rape and conspiracy to commit rape. Herrera was additionally charged with robbery.
