Warrior King performs on Saturday
His name is Warrior King and as luck would have it, he owns one of the hottest tunes on the charts. On the eve of his performance on Saturday at the City Centre, this charismatic Jamaican entertainer stopped by for a chat with News Five’s James Adderley.

“Well, some people from here contacted my manager, and that’s the reason I’m here right now, you know. Because the people love I hear, so anything the people need they send for in Jamaica. We come here to give the people a message and a positive vibration.”

“Man, you have a big hit wailing through the Caribbean, “Virtuous Woman”, tell us about it, tell us what it means.”
Warrior Kin
“Well, you see that song, first and foremost I must say that the main source my inspiration comes from His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Haile Sellassie. At the time I wrote the song, my empress and I were separated, so at that time I realized how important a woman is in a man’s life you know? And I remember growing up, you could always see where man belittle women, so it is a song uplifting women you know, definitely.”

“What are you going to tell the people to look forward to at the City Centre?”

“Well, they will definitely feel the presence of the Almighty Creator there, positive vibration and a whole heap of love generated there, you know?”

“How long you intend to perform for, because it’s a one night gig?
Warrior King
“Well, we’ll move with the vibe, we’ll try to satisfy the people, give them what they need, want to fill up dem cup, you know?”
