U.S. donates computers to court system
Just a few weeks ago they were the instigators of what appears to be the official kidnapping of two suspected drug dealers; today the U.S. Embassy is making donations to promote the rule of law. According to a press release, the United States Government has handed over forty-five thousand dollars worth of computer equipment to the Magistrate’s Court in Belize City. That donation will go a long way toward replacing computers and accessories lost in the fire that destroyed the Paslow building last September. The equipment was presented to Chief Magistrate Herbert Lord by U.S. Charge d’Affaires Edgar Embrey in a ceremony this afternoon.
