B.D.F. recruit succumbs to injuries
And in less cheerful medical news, we regret to announce that B.D.F. recruit Rafael Pop has died. According to a spokesman for the K.H.M.H., Pop succumbed to his injuries around eleven Wednesday night. He had been in a coma since Friday after collapsing during a training run in Ladyville. Pop had been declared brain dead several days ago and was being kept breathing solely by the use of a respirator. Although the family had been advised to take him off the artificial lung and were resigned to doing it, we are informed that Pop’s vital signs flat lined while he was still hooked up to the machine. The results of a military investigation into the incident have not yet been made public.
