Belizeans felt the Earth move after Chiapas quake
Latest reports say that at least fifty-eight persons have lost their lives following a magnitude eight point one earthquake in Mexico on Thursday night, causing tsunami warnings for countries across Central America. In Belize, there have not been tremors for a few years so many were startled when buildings and vehicles across the country shook from the massive seismic activity. Following the earthquake, the Governor of the Mexican state of Chiapas announced the first fatalities in the wake of the most powerful quake to hit the country since 1985.
