Late news: Popular grocer critical after shooting
And in a report just in, News 5 has confirmed that just after six this evening, seventy-five year old Alvin Godfrey, proprietor of Godfrey’s Store on Sixth Street, was shot in the face by a lone gunman. According to hospital authorities, doctors are at this time working frantically to save the elderly shopkeeper’s life. Anyone with information on this case that might help bring the criminal to justice is asked to please contact the nearest police station. Anonymous calls are accepted.
