Hispanic Man Sought in Buena Vista Murder
The first murder victim in the west for this month lost his life on the tenth. Police are yet to crack that case in the murder of Jose Sibrian, a Salvadoran national and his attacker, who is known to be a Guatemalan national.
ASP Daniel Iche, Acting O.C., San Ignacio Police Formation
“No one has been charged as yet. We are looking out for one Hispanic male person in that investigation. The other person is a Guatemalan national and the deceased is a Salvadoran national so they are not related.”
Duane Moody
“Is it possible that that person has fled to Guatemala?”
ASP Daniel Iche
“I wouldn’t want to speculate on that.”
The other unresolved murder is that of Gustavo Hernandez who was also killed over the weekend and laid to rest today. Hernandez was a witness in the murder of Daniel Sosa of Orange Walk Town on September tenth. Hilmar Alamilla, the highly connected sideman, has been charged for Sosa’s murder and is on remand. Hernandez had given a statement to police which implicated Alamilla and was reportedly in the vehicle at the time of the Sosa’s killing. Hernandez was laid to rest today.
