Best Deals at Expo this Weekend

The 2017 Belize Expo Marketplace takes place over the two-day weekend. Annually thousands of Belizeans converge in the Old Capital at the ITVET Compound on Freetown Road to take advantage of the great deals in phones and gadgets, as well as goods and services offered by the many businesses. This year, there are almost two hundred booths with much more to offer, including products from budding entrepreneurs. Marketing and PR Officer of the Belize Chamber of Commerce, Viannie Reyes tells us more.

“We’ve been sold out since two to three weeks ago. We started out with one hundred and eighty-six booths and we moved up to approximately one hundred and ninety-six booths. So we’ve tried to fit in spaces for other exhibitors to participate this year.”

“What is different this time around? I know you have the entertainment corners; of course the great deals. Does that remain the same?”

Viannie Reyes

“Well of course yes we still have the same great deals and we still remain with the same gate prizes. We have just by purchasing the ticket to enter the expo, you automatically get a chance to win cash prizes, groceries, the United Airline tickets. We also have entertainment by Super Furia, DJ Fada Jessie, Harrison Dawgy King and live performances by TR Shine and Supa G, hosted by DJ Dalla. So that’s kinda of something a little bit different when compared to last year. And also this year, we have the BCCI/Western Union selfie booth.”

For both days, the gates open from eight a.m. to five p.m. and tickets are available for five dollars for adults and three dollars for kids, age three to eleven.
