Independence Eve, 36 Years Ago
Back in 1981, the then Premier of Belize, the Right Honorable George Price’s led this country to independence and at midnight, for the first time, the red, white and blue flag with the coat of arms was unfurled, marking nationhood. It was a proud and momentous occasion for Belizeans. Tonight, we go back to our archives and revisit that moment in history.
